The NFC contactless smart card is based on nearly filed communication techinology, which is connected to a coil with a few turns and then embedded into plastic. The communication layer (RF Interface) complies with part 2 and 3 of the ISO/IEC14443A standard.The NFC is primarily designed for contactless single trip solutions in transport applications.It is contactless transmission of data and supply energy and no battery is needed.

NFC is the perfect solution for system operators who will implement completely contactless automatic fare collection programs. With its wider application, traditional low cost ticketing media will be gradually replaced by disposable, non-reloadable contactless cards or tickets.
